Where we are right now

For the purpose of fulfilling this goals of propagating and replanting corals on the reefs, I bought a sailboat in Queensland Australia, and have been living aboard since July 20, 2019 (exactly 50 years to the day that we landed on the moon !).

Lest you think its a palace-haha-its a 47 year old monohull sailboat built in 1973. I purchased it with my private funds, and have since outfitted it with a solar system, new main sail, new anchor and chain, and hundreds of smaller improvements. All self-funded. But Im just about out of money.

December 20, 2019 Mooloolaba Queensland Australia

My best anchorage yet, finally! Super calm.

Currently I anchored in Mooloolaba near the marina. Beore I leave, I want to install my autopilot (generously donated by Jim Rothwell!), and finish basic editing on this website.

My plan is to head North along the Great Barrier Reef, hang a left at the tip of Australia, and enter Indonesia. There we will start growing and planting corals in much higher volumes than we ever have before.

December 1, 2019 Bribie Island Queensland Australia

Rolly anchorage. Spent the night onshore 3 nights because of it.

November 15, 2019 Tangalooma Queensland Australia.

While here, terrible wildfire started. I caught the storm that caused it on video and its on my Instagram account.

Anchored near the wrecks and its a terribly rolly anchorage. Worst yet.

November 1, 2019 Dunwich Queensland Australia

Surprisingly lots of coral, especially blue Xenia elongata, Pocillopora damicornus.

September 2, 2019 Peel Island Queensland Australia

Lots of boats anchored on South side. Nice beach.

July 9, 2019 Gold Coast Queensland Australia.

Just arrived today from my home in Tokyo Japan.
